The Messier Family Reunion held on August 12, 2012 at the Sandbar Park State in Milton, Vermont, brought together more than 100 Messier and descendants who took advantage of the wonderful weather to attend the picnic.

Many participants were from the line of descent of Edward Messier and Célina Touchette (line of Jacques) but some were from the line of descent of Michel as Camille (77) and Rejean (12) who joined theirs American cousins in this meeting organized by a former Association des Familles Messier’s chairman, Gale Messier, and his twin brother, Dale.  Everyone was invited to bring a casserole, salad or dessert for the Pot Luck Dinner and items for the raffle.  In both cases, tables were full of good food and craft for the raffle.

Everybody had a great time talking about the Messier family and was happy to celebrate with relatives. The next reunion will be in 2014.
