We are looking for the family members of
Monique Messier (1946-2014)
daughter of Paul-Émile Messier and Yvette Fortin

The director of the French society SACD (Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers) has contacted us because she is looking for a member of Monique Messier’s family.
If you know this family, please ask them to contact me, and I can forward them the email received by the Association on January 25, 2023.
We have contacted Monique Messier’s son and forwarded him the request received from the SACD.
Thank you!

Does anyone recognize the young woman in these photos?
(Photo set #2)
She is the biological mother of a girl born on August 31, 1949, at the Hôpital de la Miséricorde in Montreal and baptized on September 1, 1949, as Marie Luce Messier. This little girl (Luce) was immediately put up for adoption and was adopted by Gérard Massie and Cécile Larose of St-Adolphe d’Howard. She was baptized again one month later as Marie Luce Suzanne Massie. Suzanne reportedly tried to obtain information about her adoption but without success.
Suzanne’s biological mother gave her her surname (Messier) because her father is nowhere to be found. The photos we have were given to her by her biological father, who contacted her after her biological mother passed away. Her biological father was Maurice Bertrand, who has since passed away.
The information we have is that on the back of the photos, it says « 1944, Sabourin family, L’Ascension, Laurentians, Quebec. » Suzanne also remembers that her biological mother was in that region as a nanny and that she worked for a « Fafard » family in St-Adolphe-d’Howard. She was 17 years old at the time, in 1949.
Thank you.
