The Messier Family Reunion held on August 3rd, 2014 at the Sandbar Park State in Milton, Vermont, brought together more than 65 Messier and descendants who took advantage of an ideal temperature for a family picnic.  Sandbar State Park is located on the shores of Lake Champlain in Milton, Vermont, less than 60km from the border. A favorite place of all participants !
 

Several participants were descendants of Edward Messier and Célina Touchette (line of Jacques) but there were also some descendants of the line of Michel as Richard Leonardo (283), Francine Joubert (363) and Réjean Messier (12) that joined theirs American cousins to participate in the meeting which was organized by a former president of the Association des Familles Messier, Gale Messier, and his twin brother, Dale.  Each participant was asked to bring a casserole, salad or dessert for the Pot Luck Dinner and an item for the draw.  In both cases, tables overflowing with fatness and price attractive presence. Some participants saw their name out several times of the box !

All had a lot of fun to talk about Messier and celebrate our family ties. The next meeting will take place in 2016.
