Annual General Meeting
Association des Familles Messier

Sunday, September 22, 2019

On September 22, 2019, a beautiful late summer/early autumn day, we held our Annual General Meeting at the Les Jardins d’autrefois Orchard in Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Organized by our treasurer, David Messier (347), the day began with a brunch attended by about twenty people. The Annual General Meeting then proceeded smoothly, adhering to the agreed agenda.

During the meeting, Richard Leonardo presented his report on his fifth year as president. This report can be viewed on our website. The Annual General Meeting also allowed us to elect the directors for the 2019-2020 year. Two directors were completing their terms but remained eligible for re-election: Réjean Messier (12) and Lise Ferron (384). For personal reasons, Lise Ferron had informed the Board members that she would not be seeking another term. The Annual General Meeting elected Michel Messier (392) and re-elected Réjean Messier (12) for a two-year term. They will join Richard Leonardo (283), David Messier (347), and Nycole Messier (409), whose terms will end next year. The members present expressed their satisfaction with the 2018-2019 activities by ratifying the actions of the directors.

Immediately following the AGM, the directors met to appoint the Association’s executive.

Thanks to several members in attendance, we are pleased to share some photos from this event…
