The Association des Familles Messier invites its members—along with their children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends—to take part in a family outing at L’Électrium, Hydro-Québec’s electricity interpretation centre in Sainte-Julie.

This event will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. It is a wonderful opportunity to gather in a setting that is simple, accessible, and engaging for all generations. Whether you are a curious youngster, an accompanying parent or grandparent, a science enthusiast, or simply looking to enjoy some quality family time, L’Électrium offers a visit that is educational, interactive, and fun.

During the tour, participants will explore the fascinating world of electricity, covering topics such as static electricity, electrical circuits, electric and magnetic fields, renewable energy, and electricity generation in Quebec. Visitors will also see impressive demonstrations, including experiments that captivate both children and adults alike. It is the kind of activity that allows everyone to learn while having fun in a friendly atmosphere.

The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes, making it an easy outing to fit into a family day. It is particularly well-suited for school-age children but also appeals to teenagers, adults, and grandparents. It is therefore a wonderful intergenerational activity, perfect for bringing family members together.

For those wishing to extend the experience, picnic tables are available on-site. Families are welcome to bring their lunch and arrive a little early to eat together before the tour begins.
